UNIVERSE FUHRER BRADLEY CHRIST TALK ABOUT IRONY). Then the film actually does an amazing job showing how the people are living, how people got dragged into things they didn’t want (such as building rockets for intrepid people and getting swept up in the mob tactics by the rising Nazi party), and the opposition/ counterbalance of those who insist on leaving the conflict (like FRITZ LANG OF ALL PEOPLE IS THE ALT. ACTUAL HISTORICAL CONTEXT!Ī few throwaway lines at the beginning of the film mention the Treaty of Versailles and Germany’s surrender. Then, the action in the latter half of the film centers around the Beer Hall Putsch where Hitler attempted a coup.
Parallel scenes in the movie show the price of a bushel of apples in German marks (which people had to cart around in wheelbarrows due to inflation) and the price of a bushel in Amestrian cens.
